What personal data we collect and why
Contact form
When you contact us through the contact form, we collect your name, company, email, phone (if provided), services of interest, estimated budget and message. This data is used solely to reply to your enquiry and, if you decide to hire us, to manage the commercial relationship. The legal basis is your explicit consent when submitting the form and, where applicable, the performance of a contract.
Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus the visitor’s IP address and browser user-agent string to help with spam detection.
An anonymous string created from your email (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval, your profile picture is publicly visible alongside your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you leave a comment you can opt to save your name, email and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies last one year.
If you have an account and log in, we set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is removed when you close the browser.

Embedded content from other sites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves exactly as if the visitor had visited the other site.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager to measure site usage in aggregate. Data is collected with ads_data_redaction enabled and Consent Mode v2. Analytics cookies are only loaded after explicit consent.
Who we share your data with
We share data only with the following processors and under data-processing agreements:
- Resend (transactional email, US under SCCs) — to deliver contact-form emails.
- Cloudflare (CDN + hosting, US under SCCs) — to serve the site.
- Google (Analytics + Tag Manager) — only with your consent.
- Webempresa (domain email hosting).
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
How long we keep your data
- Contact form data: kept as long as needed to handle the enquiry and, if a relationship arises, for the duration of the contract and any legal retention periods (in Spain, generally 6 fiscal years).
- Comments: kept indefinitely so successive comments can be auto-approved.
- Registered user data: kept while the account exists. Users can edit or delete their personal information at any time (except their username).
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data.
- Rectify inaccurate data.
- Erase data that is no longer necessary.
- Restrict processing.
- Object to processing.
- Request data portability.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
To exercise these rights, write to info@digitalvar.es attaching a copy of your ID or equivalent document. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (https://www.aepd.es) if you believe processing does not comply with the law.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service.
How we protect your data
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability: HTTPS encryption, role-based access, periodic backups and retention policies.
